Welcome to the homepage of the Anglo-Ecuadorian Society!

Founded in 1977, the Society aims to promote close and friendly relations between Ecuador and the United Kingdom by:

1. Bringing to the people of Great Britain a knowledge of the history, geography and culture of Ecuador through cultural and social events such as: lectures, films, art exhibitions, etc.

2. Serving as a contact in the U.K. for anybody having an interest in, or connection with, both countries in business and tourism.

A Committee is elected at the AGM and meets regularly to manage the Society. It co-operates with the Anglo-Latin American Foundation (ALAF) to support its fund-raising activities in aid of the Children of Latin America. From the annual subscriptions and proceeds of the events, the Society is able to provide funds for different charities in Ecuador mainly concerned with children.

Members can attend the talks, lectures, films and other events organised by the Society.
